Wladimir Klitschko says he wants a rematch against new heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, but Fury's advisor Asif Vali believes he will retire.

Tyson Fury's advisor Asif Vali believes a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko will not take place as he expects the Ukrainian to retire following his loss to the Briton in Dusseldorf on Saturday night.

Klitschko lost his WBA Super, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles after a unanimous points defeat to Fury at the Esprit Arena, ending his 11-year and 22-fight unbeaten streak.

The 39-year-old confirmed after the fight that a rematch clause existed, and he planned on exercising his right to a second bout.

However, Vali reckons Klitschko will now decide to hang up his gloves after he struggled to get to grips with his younger opponent.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ the morning after a memorable night in Dusseldorf, Vali said: "The options [for a rematch] are there, but, me personally I don't think that's going to happen.

"I think Tyson did an amazing, unbelievable job and he [Klitschko] is going to be retired now. I don't think Klitschko will come back and I don't think he will come to the UK to fight because he did look a bewildered, defeated old gentleman in my eyes.

"So I personally don't think he will come back, but if he does then it is there for him. We have said that and we would love to see it and I am sure the UK fans would love to see him in a big stadium back in the UK for the rematch, if it happens."

Even if Klitschko does decide to box on, Fury's next fight is likely to be a voluntary defence of his titles in the UK according to Vali.

He said: "The voluntary is always going to be there for him and I think that's what he should do. I think the UK fans should see him have the voluntary and have his homecoming as a champion."

Vali revealed there was a party atmosphere back at Fury's hotel following his victory, although the new champion headed back to his bedroom after being mobbed by fans on his arrival.

"Last night was a great party atmosphere it was absolutely brilliant," said Vali on Sunday morning. "The whole place was bouncing and it was superb that so many fans came back. The family deserved that night after what Tyson has been through.

"As soon as we came through the door it took him about an hour to get upstairs to his room so that just shows the love that he has with the fans here in Dusseldorf.

"There were so many fans here and it was absolutely brilliant to see that there was a lot of support for Tyson in that arena."
