Enzo Maccarinelli knocked out four-weight world champion Roy Jones Jr in four rounds to win their non-title cruiserweight clash in Moscow.

The Swansea slugger put himself back in the world title picture with his 41st win and left Jones to contemplate his future in the ring.

Maccarinelli won the opening two rounds against the former pound-for-pound king, who was fighting in front of his home fans after recently becoming a Russian citizen.

The former WBO champion took his foot off the gas in the third but connected with a big uppercut in the next and floored Jones.

Jones beat the count but was unsteady on his feet as the Welshman waded in and landed another uppercut followed by a clubbing right hook which sent the 46-year-old crashing face first to the canvas.

The defeat leaves a big question mark over whether 71-fight veteran Jones should continue his career in the ring which has spanned 26 years and seen him win world titles from middleweight to heavyweight.
