Promising bantamweight Ryan Burnett has been added to the undercard of Carl Frampton v Scott Quigg in Manchester on February 27.

The 23-year-old Burnett (12-0-KO9) won the British title in November when he outpointed Jason Booth and now steps up to face Anthony Settoul (21-4-KO8) for the WBC International crown.

Burnett, who like the IBF super-bantamweight world champion hails from Belfast, will travel to the Manchester Arena looking to enhance his reputation against Settoul, who was stopped by Nonito Donaire last year.

This is the perfect opportunity for Ryan and the timing couldn't be better. Settoul is a real step up for him and I'm looking for him to put in a great performance.
Eddie Hearn

Burnett, who is trained by Adam Booth, said: "I cannot wait to perform in front of a sold-out crowd with so many fans coming over from Belfast.

"The atmosphere is going to be electric and that's going to lift me to a career-best performance. This is a massive opportunity for me to impress on a huge occasion, and while I know Settoul will be coming over to spoil the party, there's no way I will let him."

Promoter Eddie Hearn added: "This is the perfect opportunity for Ryan and the timing couldn't be better. Settoul is a real step up for him and I'm looking for him to put in a great performance on a special night and then move on to headline in Belfast before the summer."
