Shannon Briggs has passed a brain scan after a demand by David Haye and called for the British heavyweight to 'stop running.'
The American issued a public challenge to Haye after gatecrashing the press conference to announce the Londoner's next fight against Arnold Gjergjaj at The O2 on May 21.
Haye admitted he would consider a future fight if Briggs underwent a brain test and the former WBO champion has obliged by passing an MRI scan, which revealed 'normal intracranial appearances' at Harley Street in London.
"I'm in the best physical condition of my life," Briggs told Sky Sports. "Let's get in the ring. When Haye runs into my right hand, he'll know. It's time to stop running.
"I've had the MRI, give the people what they want, fight me. Let's go champ.
'He's scared to fight me because I'm a real contender. He thinks I'm old. I am. Old enough to know that he ain't ready for the champ. Let's go champ!"
Speaking earlier this week, Haye insisted he would be willing to let Briggs join him on the O2 undercard after he had proved his fitness.
"He's an interesting character and if the British public want to see me beat this guy up then maybe we can talk about it," Haye told Sky Sports News HQ.
"I said to him that if he wants to fight someone, he can fight on the undercard and if the British public like what they see then it'd be a good fight."
