Conor Benn says he will look to 'sit on his shots' when he faces Luke Keleher

Conor Benn is determined to light up Ricky Burns' undercard with a spectacular stoppage of Luke Keleher.

Live Fight Night

'The Destroyer' is hoping to follow April 9's emphatic debut victory by blasting aside Keleher (2-4-1-KO1), who he feels has been 'disrespectful' in the build-up to their Glasgow meeting - live on Sky Sports.

Benn told Sky Sports: "If he comes forward like he has in all his fights and tries to take my head off then he's in trouble, because I like fighters who come forward to have it.

"In terms of records, my first opponent was better than this. At least he won his previous fight. This guy is nothing to me when I'm sparring a three-weight world champion. He's not going to be a problem.

Conor Benn started his professional career with a bang

"I still find it disrespectful what he said. That hasn't changed. I'm going to go out there and do what I've got to do. If he actually comes forward and says: I'm going to knock the Bill out of Benn. Ok. Let's have it.

"If he sticks to his word, then we're going to have a very entertaining fight on Saturday."

Trainer Tony Sims, who will also be in Burns' corner as he attempts to beat Michele Di Rocco to the vacant WBA super-lightweight title, is encouraged by the early signs in Benn's career.

In our latest episode of Mr and Mr we ask Nigel Benn about his son Conor

Sims added: "Although he's only 19, he's got massive power in each hand. He's got a lot of pressure on his shoulders and didn't have a lot of amateur experience so we're not looking at a superstar overnight but he's got a lot of his Dad in him.

"I'm looking forward to his career. This is his only ever press conference and he's getting used to things. He was overawed at first with the people coming up to him asking for photos because he's not been brought up in this country.

"He didn't know anyone even knew him but through Nigel, everyone knows him. He's learning to deal with that and he's just got a flat by the gym so he's starting to live on his own. I think he's got a great career ahead of him."

Watch Benn v Keleher on the undercard of Burns v Di Rocco live on Saturday from 8pm, Sky Sports 1.
