Ryan Burnett is likely to face Lee Haskins or Stuart Hall in a world title fight in Belfast early next year, says Eddie Hearn.

With promoter Hearn preparing to stage Hall's attempt to regain the IBF world bantamweight crown from Haskins, Burnett is lying in wait for the winner of that bout.

The 24-year-old Northern Irishman (13-0-KO9) fights on the July 30 bill in Leeds - live on Sky Sports - and having already won British, European and WBC international belts, is set for his big chance in 2017.

Hearn said: "We've got Stuart Hall against Lee Haskins which I've just won the purse bids for. I want Ryan Burnett to fight the winner of that fight.

"There's a three-fight plan now for Ryan Burnett; to box on July 30, then again in September, then again in December - and then he's ready to fight for the world title.
