Anthony Joshua will make the second defence of his IBF world heavyweight title at the Manchester Arena on November 26.
After five consecutive fights at The O2 saw him pick up British, Commonwealth and world crowns, the Londoner (17-0-KO17) will fight elsewhere for the first time since a two-round destruction of Raphael Zumbano Love in Birmingham in May 2015.
Joshua said: "When I first started my professional career I travelled all round the country fighting, which I loved. This is taking me back to the grass roots.
We want this to be a spectacular show, all the way up the card.
"I can't wait to get back up north and show the people of Manchester how much I have improved since the last time I was there. I have been inspired over the summer by the fighters in the Olympics, it has given me a new perspective and huge hunger to get back in ring.
"It has taken a bit of time to officially announce the fight. We want this to be a spectacular show, all the way up the card and it takes time to get these things right."
Joshua has fought in Manchester once before as a professional, recording a third-round victory over Konstantin Airich in September 2014.
The identity of his opponent will be revealed in the week commencing September 26 and promoter Eddie Hearn has previously named mandatory challenger Joseph Parker, former world champion Bermane Stiverne and European title-holder Kubrat Pulev as the most likely candidates.
