Golovkin vs Brook: Abel Sanchez dismisses Gennady Golovkin's early exit after weigh-in

Gennady Golovkin left the weigh-in immediately to let Kell Brook be the centre of attention, according to his trainer.
Triple G came in lighter than challenger Brook at the weigh-in at the Indigo at The O2, but disappeared before the usual media interviews in the crucial final event before fight night.
But despite rumours of Golovkin suffering from a cold, starting his training camp early and claims he was looking drawn at Thursday's press conference, trainer Abel Sanchez laughed off the suggestion there were any problems.
"He is just giving Kell his props and dues, he's the local guy so he can soak it all in. He's staying out of the way for him," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"This young man had 350 amateur fights and is undefeated as a pro. Nothing fazes him. He's just giving Kell the moment. It's a big moment for Kell and he should take it all in.
"We see it in the fights because he's seen so many different styles and situations. Nothing fazes him. He's just looking forward to landing the first shot and going to work."
Golovkin came in at 158.9lbs, a pound under challenger Brook, who was first on the scales ahead of his maiden fight at middleweight.
Sanchez had suggested the Special One's plan was a "scientific experiment" but admitted the former welterweight looked good at his new weight.
But the man behind Triple G's rise to the top made it clear his fighter will still be too good to lose his middleweight crown and unbeaten record.
"Kell looked very good today," he said. "He looked in great physical shape but he's going in against the best middleweight in the world. If it was anyone else then I'd give him a 50-50 chance but it's going to be very difficult for him tomorrow night.
"The fans here really help their fighters along. It's that extra man in the corner. The crowd is going to be on Brook's side until the fight gets going in a manner that's good for both guys. Once Gennady starts working, the fans will appreciate that too.
"It's been loud at Madison Square Garden but I imagine I'm going to have to get some earplugs. That's how it should be."
