A cracking cruiserweight world title fight between WBO champion Krzysztof Glowacki and rising Ukrainian star Oleksandr Usyk will be show live on Sky Sports.

Poland's Glowacki will defend his strap on home soil at the Ergo Arena, Gdansk, Poland, on Saturday night, on Sky Sports 2.

Former WBO cruiserweight champion Johnny Nelson will be in the studio with recently-crowned WBC boss - and new member of the Sky Sports Boxing team - Tony Bellew, commentating on what promises to be an explosive affair between two unbeaten fighters.

The promising Usyk (9-0-KO9) will be going for world glory in only his 10th professional fight, while Glowacki (26-0-KO16) will be making his second defence.

The 30-year-old Pole won the title in Newark, New Jersey, last August, stopping long-standing WBO boss Marco Huck in the 11th round to send shockwaves through the cruiserweight world.

It not only ended Huck's seven-year reign as champion, it also stopped him setting a new record of 14 consecutive world-title defences, leaving him level on 13 with Sky Sports pundit Nelson.

Glowacki's first defence saw him beat former world champion Steve Cunningham.

Mandatory challenger Usyk will make the short trip from Kiev, Ukraine, as he looks to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko and Vasyl Lomachenko, with the latter two both winning Olympic gold before turning professional.

The 28-year-old known as 'The Cat' struck gold as a heavyweight at London 2012, won the World Amateur Championship a year earlier and before turning professional in November 2013, out-pointed Rio silver medallist Joe Joyce in a World Series of Boxing bout at York Hall.

Sky Sports Head of Boxing, Adam Smith, said: "It is already a great trade fight but could be an absolute cruiserweight cracker, with two unbeaten punchers fighting for a world title.

"Tony Bellew will not only be sharing his undoubted knowledge on commentary but also keeping a close eye on the outcome, while with the WBO belt on the line, Johnny Nelson's expert analysis is likely to be emotional, too."

Watch Glowacki v Usyk live from 9.30pm, Saturday on Sky Sports 2.
