Luis Ortiz says he is ready to take on "the very best" in heavyweight boxing, including IBF champion Anthony Joshua.

Ortiz, who signed with Matchroom in October, will face Malik Scott on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports, with the winner edging closer to a world title shot next year.

However, Ortiz is already booked to fight again in Manchester on December 10 as part of the undercard to Joshua's IBF heavyweight title defence against Eric Molina.

This weekend's fight in Monte Carlo will be Ortiz's first in Europe, but Matchroom are keen to follow up a busy schedule with a headline fight in the United States, and Ortiz is already looking beyond his fight with Scott.

"I'm going to be very busy over the next few months and am looking forward to boxing in many countries as we continue my journey to the heavyweight world championship," Ortiz told Boxing Scene.

"I am a very experienced fighter. I have had the best boxing education with more than 350 fights under my belt. I believe I have the ability to adjust to any fighter and any style. This was evident in my fights with Bryant Jennings and Tony Thompson."

Ortiz, who has an unbeaten record of 22 knockouts in 25 wins, believes he has the ability to challenge Joshua, Klitschko or WBC champion Deontay Wilder.

Eddie Hearn said in October a potential fight between Anthony Joshua and new signing Luis Ortiz could happen in the future

"I want to fight the very best and I want to be heavyweight champion of the world. I'm willing to fight anyone, any champion, any place, any time. I'm ready for anyone: Joshua, Wilder, Klitschko. I know I can beat all of them.

"I feel I have been at my peak for many years now. I have simply been late arriving on the US heavyweight boxing scene. I have been fighting since I was in elementary school. Boxing is a very, very deep passion of mine."

Watch Luis Ortiz v Malik Scott on the Monte Carlo card, including Martin Murray, Jamie McDonnell and Stephen Smith, from 7pm, Saturday, live on Sky Sports 2.
