David Allen has "no fear" of Luis Ortiz and plans to make a mockery of the pre-fight odds by pulling off a stunning upset victory.

The 24-year-old Doncaster man was named as the next heavyweight opponent for Ortiz on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's IBF title defence against Eric Molina this Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

In recent weeks, Allen had called for a clash with the Cuban, and insists he will not be intimidated by 'King Kong', who has 22 knockouts on a 26-fight unbeaten record.

I will show him on Saturday night in a way that is internationally known and that's punch him square in the mouth.

"I'm going to tell him straight," Allen told Sky Sports. "I've got no fear of the man, I've got no fear of any man.

"I will show him up on Saturday night in a way that is internationally known and that's punch him square in the mouth. I'm pretty sure he will understand that."

Allen is a big outsider with the bookies, while Ortiz has been tipped as a future opponent for Joshua, but the 'White Rhino' believes he can change his own career with one punch.

'King Kong' Ortiz has built his fearsome reputation with devastating knockouts

"If I hit Ortiz on the chin, Ortiz will go, and I'm more than capable of doing so," said Allen, who has been sparring with former opponent Dillian Whyte.

"They are underestimating me in this fight. They've got me as a 16-1 long shot and I'm not a 16-1 shot at all.

"I know Ortiz is an excellent fighter, but I'm a little better than what's been shown previously and if I do hit him, I hit more than hard enough to take him out."

But the Yorkshireman knows he is taking a big step-up in class against a big-punching southpaw and has joked that he could be swiftly forced to rethink his tactics.

Allen said: "He doesn't know what to expect from me. He's probably never even heard of me, let alone seen me. He will be in for a shock on the night.

"The pre-fight tactics? I don't even know what I'm going to do, and if I don't know then Ortiz won't know either.

"It depends what Ortiz brings. If Ortiz is this massive puncher that he is, then I'm not planning on walking in straight lines, just taking a hiding.

"We'll see what Ortiz brings. After 30 seconds, I'll know how painful and how long my night is going to be."
