Anthony Joshua has reignited his rivalry with David Haye by revealing he wants Tony Bellew to silence the outspoken heavyweight by landing a 'haymaker'.
IBF champion Joshua will be watching closely when Haye steps between the ropes to battle Bellew this Saturday night at The O2, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Haye has spoken openly about his desire to fight Joshua in the future, but the unbeaten 27-year-old insists he would be happy for Bellew to ruin those plans with a shock victory at the weekend.
"It's going to be a tough fight, especially for Bellew, the reason being he's had to move up [a weight]," Joshua told Sky Sports.
"I think it would be a different story if Haye had to drop a weight, which I initially thought it was, and it's going to be tough for Bellew.
"But you know what? I would love it if Bellew landed a 'haymaker' and put a sock in David Haye's mouth for a bit. I'm supporting him."
Joshua is preparing to fight Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium on April 29, live on Sky Sports Box Office, with the vacant WBA 'super' title also at stake.
Haye, who lost to Klitschko on points in 2011, has suggested that Joshua is facing the Ukrainian at the 'perfect time' and recently issued a typically brash challenge to his fellow British heavyweight.
"If AJ beats Klitschko, which I and the rest of Great Britain are hoping he does, any time he is ready to do it I am ready," the 36-year-old told Sky Sports News HQ.
"I'd have fought him on my first fight back from retirement because I know I can beat him.
"Hopefully, if he wins, his team will have the confidence - David Haye is the biggest fight on the planet, let's make it happen. The ball is in his court."
