Porter vs Berto: Shawn Porter vs Andre Berto live on Sky Sports
Wednesday 5 April 2017 12:46, UK
The New York fight between welterweights Shawn Porter and Andre Berto will be shown live on Sky Sports.
The former world champions meet on a packed night at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, in the early hours of Sunday, April 23.
Porter and Berto's fight tops the bill with Jermell Charlo defending his WBC super-welterweight title, and unbeaten heavyweight Luis Ortiz back on American soil.
All eyes, though, will be on the welterweight clash with both fighters looking for one final push towards another world title shot.
They have both held the IBF title at 147lbs, with Porter losing to current holder Kell Brook, in August 2014, with 'Showtime' falling short against Keith Thurman in his WBA world title challenge last time out.
Berto will be known as the last fighter to face Floyd Mayweather before 'Money' retired but has also been IBF world champion and reigned as the WBC holder between 2008 and 2010.
The pair are looking to get another shot at a world title in the welterweight division, with Brook (IBF), Thurman (WBC and WBA) and Manny Pacquiao (WBO) the title-holding headliners.
The undercard also has some relevance with Charlo under the guidance of Derrick James, the man in Errol Spence Jr's corner for his welterweight challenge in Sheffield, next month.
Before our coverage heads to America, there is a cross-roads fight between Martin Murray and Gabriel Rosado live from the Echo Arena on Sky Sports. Both know the winner will close in on another world title challenge.
