Floyd Mayweather has claimed he sent Paulie Malignaggi into Conor McGregor’s training camp as a spy.
Malignaggi sparred with the UFC champion on two occasions before leaving amid controversy when pictures of him on the canvas after an apparent knockdown by McGregor emerged.
Members of McGregor's camp, including his head coach John Kavanagh and UFC president Dana White have since insisted the sessions were one-sided in the Irishman's favour but that is something Malignaggi disputes.
The former two-weight world champion interrupted McGregor's media scrum earlier this week as he got into an argument with the Irish star and his manager Audie Attar.
Attar accused Malignaggi of "talking out of his contract" by disclosing details of the sparring sessions to the media, while McGregor told him he "got his ass whooped" and to "get over it".
Malignaggi has now taken the mind games a step further by showing up at Mayweather's gym in Las Vegas, with the former five-world champion stating he intends to question him about what McGregor has been working on in camp.
Mayweather told FightHype.com: "My friend [Malignaggi] called me and said 'Floyd, do you want me to go to camp?' and I said 'Absolutely'."
At that point a smiling Malignaggi interjected, calling presumably McGregor's camp, "suckers".
Mayweather continued: "Paulie is going to stay at the house and talk about strategy. We are going to talk about everything. Don't you worry.
"Paulie, thank you for going over there like I asked you to do.
"He made it look good when he grabbed you and threw you down. That was a good one."
