Joshua vs Takam: Lee Selby vows not to let Josh Warrington ruin his plans

Lee Selby won't let Josh Warrington halt his progress as he aims for a "big fight" with Carl Frampton.
The IBF featherweight champion watched Warrington become his mandatory challenger at the weekend, but vowed not to allow that commitment to scupper his 2018 ambitions.
"Ideally I'd like to win my voluntary defence in December, take care of Josh Warrington, then hopefully Frampton fancies a fight, then a big fight in America," Selby told Sky Sports News.

"I'll get [Warrington] out of the way. Then I'm free for a big fight.

Asked about his chances against Warrington, who beat Dennis Ceylan last weekend, Selby said: "It would be a one-sided, educated boxing lesson by myself."
Welshman Selby has completed two title defences this year but admits he "would have loved" a fight on Anthony Joshua's undercard in Cardiff this weekend, and joked: "If they give me a slot on the Joshua bill I'm ready to go."

Selby continued: "I remember the buzz around Joshua when he boxed in Cardiff a few years back - that was on my undercard!
"You can put Joshua anywhere in the world and he would get the same reception. He's a loved guy, a brilliant boxer and a knockout artist."
