Ohara Davies issues challenge to Tommy Coyle

Ohara Davies has warned that a fight against Tommy Coyle would be “easier” than his critics expect.
The super-lightweight rivals have expressed their desire to meet on the David Haye vs Tony Bellew Sky Sports Box Office undercard on December 17 via a social media exchange.
"It's been really hard," Davies told Sky Sports about his search for an opponent. "After I fought Josh Taylor it was easy because everyone thought I was washed up or over-hyped. But in my last fight I shut everyone up, and they've got running again.
"My manager said yes [to fighting Coyle] immediately. As far as I know, the fight was turned down by his manager. Tommy seems like he wants the fight but that is a contradiction to what is happening.
"I don't look at Tommy as an enemy but it would be a good fight. We're not best friends but we're cool - there are no issues.
"It would be an easier fight [for me] than people think. After the fight I lost, I've only improved. I'm seeing improvements in the gym so I need a guinea pig to try my skills on."
Coyle's trainer Jamie Moore confirmed to Sky Sports that a fight against Davies is being negotiated.
"Both teams are talking to each other," said Moore. "At the end of the day, I'm just a trainer, I don't get involved in those negotiations.
Both guys are sitting down and having a chat about it now and seeing if they can come to a deal.
"They have asked me the question - would I be happy to take the fight? I said absolutely yes.

Davies' 15-0 record was ruined by a stoppage defeat to Taylor earlier this year but he rebounded with a TKO win against Tom Farrell.
"I'm fitter, more aggressive and I know how to handle pressure - in the past I didn't know how to do that," Davies said. "Tommy is fit with a good engine, and I can go 12 rounds, but I don't think our fight would go past six rounds.
"If I hit [opponents] early then they feel it, and they don't go 12 rounds. Anyone I hit will not go 12 rounds - but my punch power will last for the whole fight."
Davies also claimed he was interested in boxing Robbie Davies Jr, but his rival had "other plans".
