Martin Murray has offered to take on Daniel Jacobs in the New Year should the American overcome Luis Arias on Sunday morning.

Live Fight Night International

Jacobs, now promoted by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing faces Arias at the Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, in the state of New York, live on Sky Sports, and 'Miracle Man' is on a mission to regain a world title after losing a close decision to pound-for-pound ace Gennady Golovkin in March.

'GGG' is mooted to possibly be rematching Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez on May 5, meaning Jacobs will likely have another fight before he could potentially take on the winner.

Murray, 35, has put his name in the mix and the St Helen's man admits that now Jacobs has inked a new promotional deal, it makes the clash much easier to make.

"I really rate Jacobs, he is up there with the best middles in world, as he proved against Golovkin," he began. "I didn't think he beat 'GGG' but he definitely showed how good he is.

Whether it's super-middleweight, middleweight, I'll get in the ring. Jacobs, Andy Lee or the winner of Billy Joe Saunders against David Lemieux, I'll fight anyone.

"What I liked most about that performance was how disciplined he was and his corner in particular were amazing.

"I think he will beat Arias and then who knows what next after that, I would love to fight Jacobs, we've already fought in the amateurs and you know I've never dodged a fight.
