Caleb Truax is open to an immediate rematch with James DeGale in Britain - and the new IBF champion is confident he would win their second fight by knockout.
The 34-year-old American pulled off an upset victory at the weekend as he ended DeGale's reign as world super-middleweight champion with a majority decision points victory at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Truax insists the lack of a rematch clause in the contract showed DeGale's complacency, but he hopes to defend his title in April and would accept a return bout on these shores for a lucrative offer.
"I think [adviser] Al Haymon is going to have something for me, probably after the holidays," Truax exclusively told Sky Sports.
"I will it enjoy it for a week or so, and hopefully get something as soon as possible.
"That just goes to show you how much he was overlooking me, I think. There was no contractual rematch clause, but I would be open to it. I took short money for this fight and I didn't take on as much notice as I would like, but if they want a rematch, they are going to have to pay me, that's for sure."
Asked if he would face DeGale next, Truax added: "Yeah, absolutely.
"I wouldn't mind coming back here. I like it over here, everybody's been real great to me over here, and if the money's better over here, I'll come back over here."
Truax forced DeGale to endure a torrid fifth round, hurting the home favourite with two big uppercuts, and believes he could stop his opponent before the final bell if they fight again.
"I'm a fighter that makes adjustments pretty well, and I'm pretty good at figuring guys out, especially if I've been in the ring with them before," he said.
"I wouldn't see it going any other way than it did this time and possibly by stoppage."
DeGale had been hoping to line up bumper domestic battles against George Groves, Chris Eubank Jr and Callum Smith, but Truax admits he relished the chance to derail the Londoner's career.
"I couldn't wait to get in there and ruin his plans," said Truax. "All I heard for a week was who he is fighting next, and how much money he's going to make in 2018.
"How many stadiums he's going to sell-out against Groves and Eubank, and Callum Smith, and [David] Benavidez, and anybody else that he was fighting, besides me.
"I just smirked it off and couldn't wait to show him that he made a huge mistake."
