Joseph Parker's promoter is being advised by a lawyer who represented Wladimir Klitschko as talks continue for the unification clash with Anthony Joshua.

David Higgins of Duco Events will hold another meeting with Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn on Wednesday as they work towards a deal for WBO title-holder Parker to face Joshua, the WBA 'super' and IBF champion, at a British venue in either March or April.

Anthony Joshua-Joseph Parker 'outstanding issues' to be discussed, says Eddie Hearn

Klitschko's Wembley fight with Joshua drew a crowd of 90,000 fans, along with a huge television audience last April to watch the home favourite pull off a dramatic victory, and Higgins has hired one of the Ukrainian's legal advisers, Neil Sibley, to scrutinise the contract with his own New Zealand lawyer.

"I've got a New Zealand guy, who is very good as well, and he's done most of it up to date," said Higgins.

"I'm using Carl Rowling, who is very good, but I thought it never hurts to get a second look, especially from someone who has worked in this market on a big occasion like that.

"This lawyer has acted, I believe, for the Klitschko side, so it will be useful to have that knowledge on board as well."
