Whyte v Browne

Dillian Whyte takes on Lucas Browne in a heavyweight fight of serious consequence, live on Sky Sports Action at 7pm on Saturday from London’s O2.

What can we expect?

Two heavyweight contenders who have developed a distaste for one another, aiming to remove each other from the world title landscape.

Tale of the Tape - Dillian Whyte v Lucas Browne

Whyte and Browne both have a welcome propensity to brawl, which should create a memorable slug-fest, but the hometown fighter will likely have a skill advantage over his Australian visitor.

Browne is unbeaten with 22 knockouts in 25 wins, and makes no secret of his desire to wipe Whyte out. But the Londoner, whose sole defeat was to Anthony Joshua in 2015, has youth and energy on his side.

A storm is already gathering...

What's at stake?

The winner becomes a serious player in the world heavyweight title discussions. Three of the belts will go home with Joshua or Joseph Parker, who unify their titles on March 31 live on Sky Sports Box Office, with the fourth prize belonging to Deontay Wilder.

Whyte v Browne 'The Gloves Are Off' is available now On Demand

Whyte is already ranked No 1 with the WBC and their 'silver' champion, meaning a win over No 13 ranked Browne makes him a viable challenger to Wilder's major belt.

The golden ticket for Whyte, however, might be a rematch with his fiercest rival Joshua which becomes even meatier if both men carry world titles into the occasion.

What else should I watch out for?

Another one of Whyte's rivals (are you noticing a pattern here?) is Dereck Chisora, who will appear on the undercard in hope of securing his own big rematch.

Frank Buglioni and Callum Johnson will meet in their rescheduled fight for the British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles.

The ever-improving Lewis Ritson will defend his British lightweight title against Scotty Cardle, while Craig 'Spider' Richards will also appear on the undercard.
