Whyte addressed Browne's power at Tuesday's work-outs

Dillian Whyte has rejected the suggestion that Lucas Browne is the puncher in their heavyweight fight – and vowed to remind people of his own "power".

Whyte can reassert himself into the world title picture on Saturday, live on Sky Sports, by ending the 25-fight unbeaten streak of Browne, who has rated his own right hand alongside Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder's.

Asked how he would defend against Browne's punch, Whyte told Sky Sports: "Keep my hands up. It's heavyweight boxing. If you fear one punch, move down a division or two. I don't fear that.

I've got the skill, speed and power. People forget, but I've got power. I can knock people out.

"I've fought guys with a big punch, with speed, power, flashy technique, traditional boxing technique, tall guys who get a lot of leverage. He's just a clubber.

"He's strong but he hasn't fought anyone as youthful as me. He might have fought guys with better technique but they have been old.

Whyte's only defeat came late in 2015 when he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua but, since then, he has revamped his training regime to turn himself into a more dangerous fighter.

"Before I fought AJ I was a three-to-six round puncher but now I've got the punch power late into the fight, and I've got the cardio and conditioning to go with it," said Whyte at Tuesday's public work-outs.

"It's not just about trying to put people to sleep in the first round.

"People say: 'you're more calm'. I know what I need to do. Hindsight is a great thing. It's about experience. I've grown physically and mentally.

Lucas Browne explains the root of his KO power

"These guys say I'm no good. When they get here and I start landing, or I'm stronger than they thought, they change their minds.

"It's going to be bloody, and it ain't going to be my blood. Smack talk aside, this will be a good fight.

"It's last-chance saloon for him. When someone is deluded it makes them dangerous. He's undefeated so he's confident, but it's up to me to put some hurt on him."
