Eddie Hearn said Deontay Wilder doesn’t want the fight with Anthony Joshua

Deontay Wilder can’t "walk the walk" and doesn’t want to fight Anthony Joshua, claims promoter Eddie Hearn.

WBC heavyweight champion Wilder holds the only belt not owned by Joshua, who added the WBO to his IBF and WBA haul against Joseph Parker on Saturday night.

Joshua's promoter Hearn said post-fight about a meeting with Wilder to decide the undisputed champion: "They don't want it. They have never approached us. [Joshua] has fought all the champions and got the belts.

"After 21 fights he has a chance to be the undisputed champion of the world. Don't forget how fast he's moving. Wilder's people don't contact us. They don't want to know.

"He talks the talk but he can't walk the walk.

"It's realistic from our side. He's had 21 fights and got four belts.

"Last fight, [Wilder] boxed in front of 6,000 or 7,000.

"Have you seen where he boxes? In some great venues, but with no-one there. Look at what Joshua is doing."

Joshua defeated the previously unbeaten Parker via unanimous decision in Cardiff's 80,000-seat Principality Stadium on Saturday. Wilder, meanwhile, has won all 40 fights and only gone the distance once.
