Amir Khan is willing to fight on the same bill as Kell Brook in September and then wants to 'shut up' his British rival in a long-awaited domestic clash.

Khan made an explosive return to the ring last month, stopping Phil Lo Greco in just 40 seconds, and hopes a big name such as Adrien Broner can be lured to Britain for his next fight.

A battle with Brook remains his top priority and Khan would happily fight on the same card as the Sheffield man.

Khan swiftly destroyed Phil Lo Greco in British homecoming fight

"I want to fight again in September, and I want to come back with a big bang again," Khan exclusively told Sky Sports.

"I've had my time off. I was out of the ring for two years, and I've come back the way that everyone wanted to see me come back. It's time for me to get another fight in, and then let's see where this goes."

Asked about appearing alongside Brook, he said: "That can happen. Why not?

"I'm the bigger name, and I sell more than what Kell would do. I think I'm No 1 anyway, so let's see.

"Is that what Eddie [Hearn] wants? If Eddie wants that, I don't mind being on the same bill as him. Him being on the undercard, that's fine, or we could both be two chief support fights.

"I want a bigger step-up. It's hard to say name-wise who I could face. Broner. I would like to fight Broner next if I could. Broner would be good, [Jessie] Vargas would be good. I would school him. He's not at my level. I would destroy him.

"Broner is a big name, to bring him to the UK would be massive."

Khan's swift demolition of Lo Greco in Liverpool was his first bout in Britain for almost five years and he wants to finally deliver the elusive fight with Brook.

"I'm so glad to be back on British soil," he said. "That's what maybe gave me that extra push as well. Seeing that you've got your home crowd. I'm back home now and I want to stay here. My next fight here as well.

Asked about the Brook fight, he said: "Yes, I want to fight him, because I want to shut him up.

"I want to fight him, because a lot of people think I'm scared of him, and I want to fight him, because I want to show everyone that I'm the better fighter, and I'm the smarter fighter, and just a classier fighter.

Instead of me saying it, I've got to prove it and show everyone that I am the better fighter as well. When the time is right, I'm just going to take it.

Promoter Eddie Hearn was due to hold talks with Khan last week and wants to stage the fight this year.

He had told Sky Sports: "We'll talk about it. I think both guys want to box again in the summer, and then that fight should be one we try to make in November or December."
