David Carmona claims he is "going to go out and push for the knockout" of Kal Yafai.

The 25-year-old has only stopped nine of his 31 opponents to date but is confident of implementing a game plan to upset the WBA 'super' super-flyweight world champion, at the Save Mart Arena, Fresno, in the early hours of Sunday morning, live on Sky Sports.

"I prepared myself to go out and do my job," Carmona told Sports Productions and All Star Boixng Inc.

"We're going to base ourselves on attacking him, on hitting him, on pressing him all the time and not letting him do his strategy.

IBF holder Jerwin Ancajas is on the same card as Kal Yafai this weekend and the WBA boss wants to add more belts to his super-fly collection.

"I'm going to go out and push for the knockout. What better way than crowning yourself as world champion with a knockout?

"If it is given I will look for it, but I will make it clear in the 12 rounds that I will be the winner."

Yafai will be making his American debut this weekend, and the third defence of the crown he won against Luis Concepcion in December 2016.

Kal Yafai was not overly impressed with his own performance despite beating Sho Ishida but was glad to get his mandatory challenger out of the way

"I am a boxer fighter who knows how to counterattack," he said.

"In this case we have decided to go ahead and attack. We are going against a rival that nobody has hit, but we are going to try it and see if he can endure it."
