Danny Garcia will defend his WBC and WBA titles against Erik Morales in Brooklyn, New York on October 20. Garcia stunned Amir Khan with a fourth round stoppage victory last month to unify the light-welterweight belts. The American had earlier this year claimed the WBC strap with a unanimous points verdict over veteran Morales, who said injury had prevented him a smooth preparation for the bout. The card, the first at the new Barclays Center, will also feature Paul Malignaggi's first defence of the WBA welterweight title he won in Ukraine in April. The popular New Yorker will take on Mexico's Pablo Cesar Cano, who ironically lost his only previous title fight to Morales last September.
