Eddie Hearn says the pressure is on Josh Warrington

Eddie Hearn believes Josh Warrington can earn a world title bout with IBF world featherweight champion Lee Selby if he beats Joel Brunker in style on September 5.

The 24-year-old Warrington (21-0-KO4) fights in his hometown of Leeds against Australia's Brunker (28-1-KO16), who was beaten by Selby via ninth-round stoppage in October 2014, and Hearn knows an emphatic Warrington victory could set-up an all-British world title fight.

Hearn said: "Selby against Warrington is a fight that really, really should happen but Josh has to keep winning.

"Lee Selby's performance against Evgeny Gradovich [to win the IBF title] was fantastic. He proved he's levels above Josh at the moment and Josh now has to come back with a response by beating Brunker convincingly.

"Selby did a good job on Brunker and I think if Josh can too, then he proves he's at world level.

Selby v Warrington at Elland Road is a huge fight. It does 40,000 or 50,000 and is a huge, huge fight for British boxing.

"Selby v Warrington at Elland Road is a huge fight. It does 40,000 or 50,000 and is a huge, huge fight for British boxing but the pressure is on Josh Warrington right now."

Warrington, though, is fully focused on the task in hand and is refusing to look past Brunker with the Commonwealth title on the line.
