Brian Rose cannot wait to right his Carson Jones wrongs.
The Blackpool light-middleweight faces Jones again in Hull this Saturday, live on Sky Sports, just six months after a controversial first-round stoppage which denied him a potential second world title challenge.
Rose - beaten in seven rounds by WBO champion Demetrius Andrade in June last year - had a shot at WBA king Erislandy Lara in the pipeline had he beaten Jones, only to be caught and wobbled, prompting referee Ian John-Lewis to step in.
The 30-year-old still feels the fight should have continued but admits he may have been looking beyond the American, who had previously pushed Kell Brook to the brink during a gruelling points defeat in their first fight.
"I do think that last fight was stopped a little early but I don't blame the ref anymore," he told Sky Sports.
"I blame myself for getting caught with that shot. The way I acted afterwards was a little bit out of order but I am sure people will understand my frustration.
"I've had 30 fights now but I shouldn't be stopped in the first round in my hometown, where all my friends have bought tickets but like I say, I am not going to dwell on the past.
"I'm not going to blame the referee any more I am just going to blame myself, take it as a mistake and look forward to beating Carson Jones. I am just grateful I've got another chance.
"I am going to put Carson Jones to bed and move on. I know all fighters say it but I am 100 per cent sure that I am going to knock Carson Jones out."

Rose was floored twice in that one-sided defeat to Andrade in New York but wants to get back into the world title mix.
Without looking too far ahead this time, he is convinced he will use Jones as the perfect platform to relaunch his career.
"I have never found it so easy to hit someone, any boxer, in my life, and so cleanly," he said. "I think that was the reason why I go so excited, because it doesn't happen very often. 'I think I am going to get a first round knockout here' - it never really happens for me!”
The Rose-Jones rematch is on the undercard of Luke Campbell's hometown clash with lightweight rival Tommy Coyle at the KC Lightstream Stadium, formerly known as Craven Park and home of Super League Hull Kingston Rovers.
Former world champion Ricky Burns, heavyweight Dillian Whyte and super-featherweight Martin J. Ward also feature on a packed bill.
