People are going to shoot me down but Luis Ortiz is not unbeatable.
I saw some footage of him on the bag this week and of course he's got power, but the one thing that struck me is, he's not great on the back foot.
He is not a great mover, trust me. That makes him hittable and if I am being ultra critical, he is pretty bog-standard when it comes to that.
Going forward, the man is a beast. He walks people down, he hunts them down and they can't escape and as an attacking aggressive fighter, Ortiz is dangerous. And I mean dangerous. But if you get him on the back foot, it is a different story. I've seen many heavyweights who are better than him. He is not a brilliant mover.
He is a beast coming forward, so if you can make him miss and start pushing him back, you've got a chance.

Malik Scott is fast but not a big puncher so he might well try that, but I am sure he is not stupid because if you try and meet him head on, Ortiz will walk straight through you and more worryingly, punch holes in you.
Most of the Ortiz fights we've seen have had him on the front foot and even when he's won, I've seen his movement and it is very average.
I expect him to get Scott out of there in the middle rounds but if someone came in with Ortiz with the smartness, the size, the power and the ability to make him miss, it's a different ball game.
Ortiz has left Golden Boy and if I was his advisor, the only thing that would've got me to sign for Matchroom, is to box Anthony Joshua.
As soon as the deal was done, that was my thought but until then, he will be making a name for himself over here in Europe.

Ortiz is the one person they do not talk about. He is the one in the top 10 that obviously worries everyone, but he is by no means unbeatable.
