Anthony Joshua is likely to be taking on the best ever Wladimir Klitschko, according to Carl Froch.
Klitschko has just turned 41 and will have not boxed for 18 months when he faces the British superstar at Wembley Stadium on April 29, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
'Dr Steelhammer' lost the IBF, WBA and WBO world titles to Tyson Fury in November 2015 but Froch believes Joshua and the venue will see him return to to form - for one last time.
"We know Klitschko is an ageing fighter but with age comes wisdom and the experience he's got," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"He's had 68 fights and he was unbeaten in 10 years as a heavyweight up until he faced Tyson Fury and that was an awkward, torrid night for him.
"He had problems in the background with his wife [Hayden Panettiere] going through post-natal depression and it wasn't publicised much but if he had something else on his mind, wasn't switched on and on top of that had someone like Tyson Fury goading him, smiling and doing his weird dance for 12 rounds, he just couldn't get going.
"We may just see the best - and last - of Wladimir Klitschhko.
"It's at Wembley Stadium and if he is thinking this is my final fight on this stage - with 90,000 not 80,000 - and if he thinks to himself this is it for me, my exit card, my final fight you know he is going to turn up."
Joshua will be making the third defence of the IBF title that Klitschko used to own and will be headlining a sell-out crowd at the iconic national stadium.
The 27-year-old was on the undercard of Froch's rematch success over George Groves back in May 2014, stopping Matt Legg in 83 seconds.
It was Joshua's sixth professional fight with the Klitschko showdown still only his 19th, and Froch thinks that could play a major role.
"Klitschko is going to be at the best he can possibly be and Joshua is inexperienced."
"That is the only word I am going to use about Joshua because he is good, excellent, in every other department."
