Carl Froch believes Josh Warrington won't be able to take Lee Selby's world title

Carl Froch says Josh Warrington belongs at world level - but is not good enough to beat Lee Selby.
The Sky Sports pundit was working ringside on the first Live Fight Night of the season as the Warrington outclassed challenger Joel Brunker at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on Saturday.
Warrington (25-0-KO4) kept hold of his Commonwealth and WBC International straps with a shut-out on the scorecards, leaving his supporters and promoter Eddie Hearn calling for a showdown with IBF champion Selby next year.
Froch was full of praise for a "great performance" from the 24-year-old but still thinks the Welsh world champion would win if the two featherweights met.
"It was a great performance," he said about Warrington's win.
"I said between round five and six, if he continued to do what he was doing then it's almost a flawless victory - and that's what it looked like.
"But Selby is a fantastic talent, he's like a little box of tricks, a magician.
"His younger brother who is on the England squad is very similar, very naturally skilful, but you cannot say that this is a mismatch based on that performance.
"You are going to pick Lee Selby to win that, I certainly would. Lee Selby has got too much for him and he's not ready for that yet, but he definitely gives him a fight, certainly it will be very interesting. But he needs two, maybe three more at a level.
Froch also feels that the standard of the world featherweight division makes it hard to see where Warrington goes next, even if he proved himself to be at that elite level.
Gary Russell Jr (WBC), Jesus Andres Cuellar (WBA) and Vasyl Lomachenko (WBO) are the three title holders apart from Selby and although Froch was impressed with the way the Leeds fighter dominated Brunker from start to finish, he believes he needs to take his time out of the ring, too.
"He didn't really get hit with many shots, a few sneaked through, but he was in total control all the way through the fight against a tough, solid Brunker, so you've got to give him his credit," he said.
"But you've seen the top 10 for yourself: anybody in the top six or seven gives Warrington a really difficult fight."
"Lee Selby is a class fighter and so is [Vasyl] Lomachenko, it's a tough, tough division. You have to be careful and he's in no rush to jump straight in there but he cannot stick around at domestic level, he's too good.
