Alastair Cook was emotional after regaining the Ashes

20 wickets fall in one day - 18 of them to spin - as South Africa spin out of control on a dustbowl in the third Test against India, in Nagpur. An incredible 32 wickets tumble over the first two days.

24.29 - Ian Bell's Test average in the year 2015. His lowest in any calendar year at Test level. 

53 letters in the combined surnames of England's Test team at both Trent Bridge and the Oval during the Ashes, breaking Australia's 55-letter record at Faisalabad in 1988.

83 wickets taken by Chris Rushworth for Durham during the 2015 County Championship. His haul included an impressive seven five-fors, including a best of 6-39 against Hampshire in July.

Stuart Broad picked up incredible figures of 8-15

230 consecutive Championship matches played by Mark Wallace, dating back to June 13, 2001, before he missed Glamorgan's final match of the season due to a torn calf muscle. 

290 runs scored by Ross Taylor in the second Test is the highest Test score by a visiting batsman in Australia, beating the 287 scored by England's Tip Foster in 1903

300th live game on Sky Sports in 2015 - that was the fourth ODI between Pakistan and England, way back on November 20. We've powered on since then and will keep chalking them up between now and the New Year!

300 wickets and 2,000 runs for Stuart Broad and Mitchell Johnson, who both reached this rare Test double landmark during the Ashes, each man becoming the second to do so for their country. Sir Ian Botham and Shane Warne are the others.

350 runs scored by England as they levelled their one-day series against New Zealand by registering the fourth-best run-chase in ODI history

355no was the highest individual score of the season, scored by none other than Kevin Pietersen against Leicestershire at The Oval. On the same day, he was told by Director of England Cricket Andrew Strauss that he no longer featured in England's plans.

836 minutes made Alastair Cook's 263 against Pakistan the third-longest Test innings in history. Cook beat Sir Len Hutton's record-longest innings for England of 797 minutes during his 364 against Australia at The Oval, 1938. His knock also lasted longer than the fourth Ashes Test, which was over after 782 minutes.

England captain Alastair Cook reaches his double century against Pakistan

2,131 runs scored by Joe Root for England in 36 matches at an average of 51.97 in 2015 - the most ever by an Englishman in a calendar year, beating the 2,120 runs scored by Kevin Pietersen in 2007. Root's haul included six hundreds and a highest score of 182no.

123,736 people attended the first day-night Test in history, making the match between Australia and New Zealand more popular than any other five-day game previously held in Adelaide

1,000,000 balls bowled in Test cricket in England and counting. The honour of sending down the historic ball fell to Ben Stokes during the fourth Ashes Test at Trent Bridge, although he probably won't want to be reminded of it as David Warner creamed it for four.
