MS Dhoni led the way as India beat the West Indies by 93 runs in the third one-day international at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

The tourists now lead the five-match series 2-0 (one game was a washout) so the West Indies will need to win both the remaining games if they are to salvage a drawn series.

India batted first on a sluggish pitch and Dhoni made 78 not out as they put together a score of 251-4, before bowling West Indies out for 158 to secure a comfortable victory.

India took an unassailable 2-0 lead over West Indies with a 93-run victory over West Indies.

Ajinkya Rahane held the India innings together after the loss of early wickets, the opener extending his excellent run of form in the series with 72, his third consecutive score over 50.

Man of the match Dhoni top scored with his 78 off 79 balls but the innings was given real impetus by Kedar Jadhav, who blazed 40 off 26 balls in an unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 81 runs from just 46 deliveries.

The hosts then slipped to 87-5 but looked like they were getting back into the match when Jason Mohammed and Rovman Powell were compiling a 54-run sixth-wicket partnership.

However, India's frontline spinners Kuldeep Yadav (3-41) and Ravichandran Ashwin (3-28) then swung the match decisively in their team's favour.

From a promising position of 141-5 in the 33rd over, the Caribbean side crashed to 158 all out within the next five overs.

Yadav and Ashwin took three wickets each in engineering the capitulation that was finished off by Jadhav when he yorked last man Kesrick Williams with his first ball of the match.

Powell had looked dangerous in getting to 30, before a top-edged sweep off Yadav resulted in the pivotal dismissal via a catch at deep backward square leg.

And Mohammed, who managed a top score of 40, became another victim of the left-arm wrist-spinner, trapped leg-before to effectively end the contest.
