Michael Atherton reviews day three of the fifth Ashes Test in Sydney

After a tough day for England at the SCG, Michael Atherton takes the positives, including a "remarkably mature" performance from leg-spinner Mason Crane.

Crane picked up his first Test wicket when he had Usman Khawaja stumped by Jonny Bairstow for 171 on day three in Sydney - and Athers feels England have unearthed a top talent: "The way that he bowled was a credit to him - he really started to fizz it - and it's a good signal for the future."

Watch Athers' video review above as he dissects a day on which the tourists claimed just two wickets - Steve Smith (83) the other man to fall - and Australia earned a lead of 133 runs after closing on 479-4.

The Sky Cricket expert says England are in for a difficult couple of days but reckons the state of the pitch - "there's a bit of spin but it's not like batting on a raging Bunsen" - gives them a chance of saving the game.
