Sir Ian Botham hails England’s winning performance in the first Test and plans some downtime before the second Test

Sir Ian Botham briefly joins Ian Ward to review England's first Test win before jetting off to be poolside in Cape Town.

Botham praises England's recovery after suffering the worst possible start to the series by losing the toss, and slipping to 49-3 batting first on a green pitch and in overcast conditions on the first morning.

He singles out Nick Compton, James Taylor, Stuart Broad, Steven Finn, and Moeen Ali, for praise but points out it was a group effort that earned the win, with everyone working hard for the team.

Beefy seemingly doesn't quite live by the same mantra though as he deserts Wardy at the end of the video to sun it up in the 38 degree heat of Cape Town.
