Nottinghamshire lead by 122 runs with five second-innings wickets in hand going into a fascinating final day of their Specsavers County Championship tie with Yorkshire at Trent Bridge.

Having earlier bowled the visitors out for 290, Yorkshire earning a lead of 29 runs, Notts finished on 151-5, Samit Patel unbeaten on 51.

Yorkshire started the day on 170-4 but Alex Lees fell eight runs short of his century, having added just one to his overnight total before edging a Harry Gurney delivery behind.

Andrew Gale (44) and Adil Rashid took Yorkshire past 200 before the captain became Jake Ball's fourth victim of the innings, caught by Steven Mullaney.

Rashid (19) followed soon after but some big hitting from Liam Plunkett (51) took the visitors past Nottinghamshire's first innings total.

Alex Hales dug in for a 145-ball 34 opening up for Notts before being bowled by a Jack Brooks (1-34) ball that kept low.

Steven Patterson also took 2-17 to add to Yorkshire's advantage before Patel's counter-attacking knock has given hope to Notts for the final day. Watch it live on Sky Sports 2 from 10.55am on Wednesday.
