Glamorgan will confirm on Friday morning that South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn is joining them for the NatWest T20 Blast.
Steyn has been playing in the Indian Premier League and will be there for another week, but he will then join up with Glamorgan on a short-term contract.
He should be available for their first Blast fixture against Surrey on 26 May.
Steyn has taken 406 Test wickets for South Africa in 82 matches and the 32-year-old is regarded as one of the fearsome fast bowlers in the game.
He told the Times of India: "Hopefully, I will have my chance next month having been offered a short contract with Glamorgan in the English T20 which starts this week."
