Sri Lanka fast bowler Shaminda Eranga has been reported for a suspect action during the second Test against England.

The match officials report, handed to the team's management after their nine-wicket defeat at Chester-le-Street, cited concerns over the legality of the 29-year-old's action.

Eranga will have to undergo testing inside the next two weeks, but he will remain available for selection by Sri Lanka until the results are known.

He, like most of his colleagues, struggled against England as the hosts claimed an unassailable 2-0 series lead with one Test remaining.

Eranga took 0-100 in England's opening innings at Emirates Riverside and bowled only one over as they knocked off 79 runs to claim victory.
