Keaton Jennings reached his maiden first-class double-century as Durham and Yorkshire played out a draw in their Specsavers County Championship Division One clash at Chester-le-Street.

Resuming on 452-8, Durham batted through the first hour of the morning session without any further loss, Jennings (221no) continuing after adding the 15 runs he needed to reach 200, before the declaration came with the hosts on 507-8.

That left Yorkshire needing 357 to win in the remaining two and a half sessions an an opening stand of 112 between Adam Lyth and Alex Lees looked to have provided the base from which Jason Gillespie's side could make a late charge.

However, Lyth (50) and Kane Williamson fell to consecutive balls and Gary Ballance (32) was caught behind off Graeme Onions to leave Yorkshire 149-3.

Andrew Gale and Lees (74) followed to give Durham hope of victory but Jack Leaning (22no) and Tim Bresnan (27no) battled through to ensure a share of the spoils, Yorkshire ending on 238-5.

Elsewhere, Haseeb Hameed hit his maiden first-class hundred and Liam Livingstone also reached three figures for Lancashire as their game with Warwickshire ended in a draw at Old Trafford.

The hosts began the day on 170-5, leading by 215, and progressed serenely in the first hour. However, once Hameed had reached his century, they looked to kick on and bolster their total ahead of a declaration.

The plan rather backfired as Hameed was the first of three wickets in four balls for Rikki Clarke. Livingstone remained though and took 17 from Clarke's next over to bring up his ton, finishing on 106 not out as the declaration came with Lancashire on 266-8.

Needing 312 to win, Warwickshire made a swift start. The dismissal of Andrew Umeed (17), caught behind off the bowling of Kyle Jarvis, saw the run rate slow somewhat and debutant Matt Parkinson took his sixth wicket of the match to remove Varun Chopra (48) and leave the visitors 102-2 at tea.

Ian Bell (55no) and Jonathan Trott (50no) held firm in the final session and saw Warwickshire safely through to 195-2 before the teams shook hands on a draw.

In Division Two, Worcestershire escaped with a draw against Derbyshire as, following on, they closed on 294-6.

They looked in trouble after losing Brett D'Oliveira (14) without adding to their overnight total but half-centuries from Ed Barnard (73) and Joe Clarke (63) steadied the ship.

Will Davis (2-87) accounted for both of them eventually, leaving Worcestershire 179-4, but Alexei Kervezee and Tom Kohler-Cadmore moved them on to 227-4 at tea.

Kervezee was caught behind for 41 as the visitors dug in and with time running out for Derbyshire, Kohler-Cadmore (48) was dismissed by Chesney Hughes, leaving it to Ross Whitely and Ben Cox to see out the remaining overs.

Northamptonshire gained the upper hand on a rain-affected day two against Sussex at Arundel, trailing by just 36 runs with eight wickets in hand.
