England and Durham all-rounder Ben Stokes will return from injury in Saturday's NatWest T20 Blast Finals day.

The 25-year-old was ruled out of the final two Tests in the drawn series against Pakistan with a calf strain, after originally missing the first of the four matches too.

The ECB have confirmed that Stokes - who has played as a batsman-only in three NatWest T20 Blast games this season - and Mark Wood are available for Durham's clash against Yorkshire in this weekend's second semi-final, when they could face a Vikings team featuring Joe Root, Gary Ballance and Jonny Bairstow.

England team-mates Alex Hales and Stuart Broad are available to play for Notts Outlaws against Northamptonshire Steelbacks in the first semi-final.

Stokes and Wood - who has had two ankle operations since last playing for his country in October's Dubai Test against Pakistan - could be included in England's squad for five one-day internationals against Pakistan, which will be announced on Tuesday morning.

Captain Eoin Morgan and wicket-keeper Jos Buttler have been out of action too, each with hand injuries, but are both thought to be fit for selection again.

In total, seven of the 11 players who lost to Pakistan in the fourth Test at the Oval will be in action for their counties this week.
