India batsman Ajinkya Rahane is still feeling confident in his game despite failing to make an impact in the first two Tests against England.

India's Ajinkya Rahane isn't worried by his recent poor form with the bat, saying advice from Sachin Tendulkar has helped him.

Rahane has scored just 63 runs, with a top score of 26, across his four innings so far in the Test series against England, but says he's confident a return to form isn't far away.

In an interview with Sky Sports - which you can watch in full by clicking on the video above - Rahane explained how he is less fazed by a dip in form than he was early on in his Test career.

"Two or three years ago, I used to overthink things about my batting," he said. "But one day I had a word with Sachin, and Rahul Dravid, and they told me it's important to switch off.

"Nowadays I do; though I do still talk things through with our batting coach, Sanjay Bangar and our head coach, Anil Kumble - he is very experienced.

"I'm feeling really confident about my batting; it's just a matter of being one good innings away from being back in form."

England are set to make changes after the defeat, with Jos Buttler coming in for Ben Duckett, and Stuart Broad missing the third Test through injury and being replaced by Chris Woakes.

"What was pleasing about the second Test was that we played well overall as a team," added Rahane. "It was especially good to see batsmen who got set - Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara - go on to score big hundreds.

"We're not thinking about the England team right now. We are focusing on our strengths, and looking to play confidently in the middle.

"For us, it's just important we start again fresh in Mohali and build on the win in the second Test."
