Highlights from the fourth day of the third Test between India and England in Mohali

Parthiv Patel hit an unbeaten 67 as India comfortably chased down 103 for victory on day four of the third Test against England.

Click on the video above to see the best of the action as India took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series despite half-centuries from Joe Root and Haseeb Hameed, batting at eight due to a finger injury.

Ravindra Jadeja took the key wicket of Root (78), with Ajinkya Rahane taking a sensational diving catch to his left off.

It was Jadeja's second strike of the morning, after trapping nightwatchman, Gareth Batty, lbw in the second over of the day without England adding to their overnight score.

Jos Buttler came in and counter-attacked with a run-a-ball 18, sweetly launching Jadeja back down the ground for six at one point, but when he picked out deep midwicket off Jayant Yadav, England still trailed by 27 runs.

Root went through to fifty, and Hameed (59no) battled on first in partnership with Chris Woakes (30) and then with No 11 James Anderson, who was eventually run out to end the innings.

Test Cricket: The Verdict

Woakes picked up the wicket of Murali Vijay early on, caught at second slip by Root, but that was as good as it got for England as Parthiv went into one-day mode, picking up boundaries with ease, and Cheteshwar Pujara kept things ticking over at the other end.

Pujara was dismissed with India needing just 15 to win, top-edging an Adil Rashid delivery to Root at short fine leg, before Parthiv sealed the win, by eight wickets, with a boundary over extra cover.
