Highlights of day 3 of the 5th Test between India and England in Chennai.

KL Rahul's Test-best 199 propelled India to 391-4 in reply to England's 477 on day three of the fifth and final Test, in Chennai.

Click play on the video above to see the best of the day three action as KL Rahul surpassed his previous best of 158 only to fall agonisingly short of a double ton just before stumps.

Rahul hit two sixes in Liam Dawson's first two overs of the day after India resumed on 60-0 and was quickly followed to 50 by Parthiv Patel.

But just as it looked as if England would go wicketless throughout the session, Parthiv (71) got a leading edge as he tried to hit Moeen Ali over the onside and Jos Buttler took the catch, ending an opening stand of 152.

Ben Stokes picked up the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara after the interval, the No 3 dangling his bat outside off and sending an edge to Alastair Cook at slip. Rahul went to his century soon after, an overthrow allowing him through to the milestone from 171 balls - taking full advantage on a flat surface.

However, England were buoyed soon after as Virat Kohli drilled a leg-cutter from Broad straight to Keaton Jennings at short extra cover, for just 15. Rahul remained though and seemed to be spurred into fresh action when Joe Root flung the ball to Jonny Bairstow, causing the batsman to duck.

England didn't help their cause when Alastair Cook dropped Karun Nair (71no) on 34, the right-hander going on to share a stand of 161 which ended when Rahul chipped a wide Adil Rashid delivery into the covers.
