Ben Stokes has been cleared to play in every group game for the Rising Pune Supergiants in this year's Indian Premier League.
England's new Test vice-captain became the most expensive overseas player in IPL history after joining the Supergiants for more than £1.6million on Monday.
Stokes faced the possibility of having to leave India midway through the group stage of the competition in order to feature in England's two-match one-day international series against Ireland in early May.
However, the ECB will allow Stokes to remain in India until the end of the group stage - meaning he will now miss both games against Ireland.
England international team-mates Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes will also miss the one-day international series in order to remain with their respective IPL teams, the Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, until the group stage ends.
England's one-day captain and new Kings XI Punjab batsman, Eoin Morgan, will return home earlier than his team-mates in order to prepare to face the country of his birth.
Jason Roy (Gujarat Lions) and Sam Billings (Delhi Daredevils) will also arrive back in England with Morgan on May 1.
However, Tymal Mills (Royal Challengers Bangalore) and Chris Jordan (Sunrisers Hyderabad) are expected to remain in India for the duration of the tournament.
England face Ireland in the opening one-day international in Bristol on May 5 before completing the series at Lord's on May 7.
