Former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum has agreed to join Middlesex for a second spell ahead of the 2017 T20 season, the club have confirmed.
McCullum, who retired from international cricket in February 2016, spent the 2016 T20 campaign with Middlesex and will now return for a second season.
Since his last spell at Middlesex, McCullum has played for Indian Premier League team Gujarat Lions and Pakistan Super League side Lahore Qalandars.
The 35-year-old wicketkeeper batsmen will rejoin Middlesex in July and is in line to be available for nine of their South Group matches.
Two of McCullum's appearances this term will be home matches under the floodlights at Lord's on Thursday nights, against London rivals Surrey on July 13, and against Essex on July 27, with both matches expected to be played in front of a full house.
"We are naturally delighted to have Brendon back to play for Middlesex in this season's NatWest T20 Blast," said Middlesex managing director of cricket Angus Fraser.
"Brendon had a hugely positive influence on the club in 2016 and I'm sure he will have a similar impact this summer.
"With Brendon on board and the other exciting players we have, watching Middlesex play T20 cricket in 2017 should be an exciting and enjoyable experience."
McCullum, who has previously had spells at Glamorgan, Sussex and Warwickshire, revealed he was looking forward to returning to the "home of cricket."
"I am delighted to be rejoining Middlesex for the coming season and am looking forward to helping the club challenge in the NatWest T20 Blast," said McCullum.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Middlesex last season and it was an easy decision for me to make when the opportunity arose to return to the Home of Cricket."
