Moeen Ali's 53-ball century - the second-fastest in ODIs by an Englishman - powered his side into an unassailable 2-0 lead in their series against Windies.

Watch highlights from the third ODI in Bristol in the video at the top of the page, as the 123 runs England walloped in their final 10 overs helped pave the way for a 124-run triumph.

Ali (102 from 57 balls) lashed eight sixes and seven fours, moving from fifty to his ton in 12 balls, to propel England to 369-9, their fifth-highest ODI score as well as their best return against Windies.

England's highest ODI scores

  • 444-3 v Pakistan (Trent Bridge, 2016)
  • 408-9 v New Zealand (Edgbaston, 2015)
  • 399-9 v South Africa (Bloemfontein, 2016)
  • 391-4 v Bangladesh (Trent Bridge, 2005)
  • 369-9 v Windies (Bristol, 2017)

Chris Gayle (94 from 78) threatened to take his team close on his return to the side, the burly Jamaican - who missed the washed out second ODI at Trent Bridge after tweaking his hamstring - muscling six sixes of his own.

But he was run out by Adil Rashid in the 27th over to leave Windies 176-4 and they went on to be bowled out for 245 with Liam Plunket scooping 5-52 - Ali taking the match-winning catch at long-off.

England's huge total also featured fifties for Joe Root (84) and Ben Stokes (73) and although Miguel Cummins snared three wickets, Ali ensured the seamer went at in excess of nine runs an over!
