Speaking ahead of the fifth ODI against New Zealand, Jonny Bairstow told Sky Sports that he would love to wear the wicketkeeping gloves for England in limited-overs cricket.
However, on Saturday's evidence, England will be in no rush to give him the mitts - not because he's not good with them but because it would prevent him taking one-handed screamers in the deep!
That's exactly what happened in Christchurch in the 49th over of the Black Caps' innings as Bairstow ran round the boundary to pluck Tim Southee's smash to deep midwicket out of the air with his right hand.
"I think it was more luck than judgment, said Bairstow at the end of game, after being named Man of the Match for his swashbuckling 104 from 60 balls as England triumphed by seven wickets to take the series 3-2.
"It's good fun - you are going to cop a bit stick [out in the field] especially being a ginge!"
"How easy did he make it look? He is a pure talent," said Sky Sports Cricket's Rob Key of Bairstow. "He has been a 'keeper most of his life but is one of England's best fielders."
That stunner - which you can watch in all its glory in the video above - came two deliveries after Alex Hales claimed an excellent swirling catch at deep midwicket to dismiss Mitchell Santner (67).
New Zealand were shot out for 223 in 49.5 overs at Hagley Oval, with Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid claiming three wickets apiece - Bairstow and Hales' catches taken off the bowling of Woakes.
