Alastair Cook brought the fifth Test between England and India to a standstill for a number of minutes as he marked his farewell Test with a century.

James Anderson then moved level with Glenn McGrath on 563 Test wickets when he trapped Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara lbw within the space of four balls as India wilted to 2-3 in pursuit of an unlikely 464.

Stuart Broad nicked off Virat Kohli for a golden duck before India recovered a little to close on 58-3, with KL Rahul unbeaten on 46.
