Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Agar and Joe Burns will be part of a youthful Australia squad for the one-day international series and T20 clash with England.
All-rounder Stoinis, spinner Agar and batsman Burns are all uncapped at ODI level and could make their debuts in the limited-overs fixtures following the fifth and final Test at The Oval.
Fast bowlers Mitchell Johnson and Josh Hazlewood have been rested following their Ashes exploits, with Australia naming Steve Smith skipper of their 15-man squad.
The tourists will play a 50-over match against Ireland in Belfast, as well as five ODIs and a Twenty20 international against England.
However, all-rounder James Faulkner was not considered as he serves a team suspension after admitting to driving under the influence of alcohol.
Stoinis is the chief beneficiary of Faulkner's omission and has recently played on Australia's 'A' tour of India.
Chairman of selectors Rod Marsh said of the 25-year-old: "Marcus has performed very well in India during the four-day series and we have always liked that option of the extra all-rounder in our side, so with Faulkner's unavailability, this is a great opportunity for Marcus."
Stoinis was Victoria's top scorer in the Sheffield Shield last season with 785 runs. Playing for the National Performance Squad in a match this year, he hit six sixes in an over.
Matthew Wade has been named as wicketkeeper while bowler James Pattinson returns to the senior squad after recovering from a string of injuries.
Marsh added: "The squad we have selected has a few fresh faces in it as well as some experienced players that will provide us with the right balance."
Agar returns to international cricket for the first time since his memorable Test debut against England in the 2013 Ashes series when he scored a record 98 as a 19-year-old No 11 batsman.
He has been chosen as the lone spinner in the squad, while T20 captain Aaron Finch was not available after breaking his foot while playing for English county side Yorkshire.
Squad: Steve Smith (c), Ashton Agar, George Bailey, Joe Burns, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Patrick Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh, James Pattinson, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, Shane Watson, David Warner, Cameron Boyce (T20 only).
Watch the five-match England v Australia ODI series live on Sky Sports between September 3-13.
