Will Gidman has signed for Kent after a successful loan spell with the Specsavers County Championship club in 2016.

The all-rounder clocked up five half-centuries in five Division Two matches last term and also took 10 wickets in all formats for the club.

The 31-year-old, who has spent the past two seasons at Nottinghamshire, is now looking forward to his future in Canterbury.

Speaking to the club's official website, Gidman said: "I'm really excited to make the move permanent.
