England new-boy Zafar Ansari suffers dislocated thumb

Zafar Ansari suffered an open dislocation of his left thumb just hours after he was called up to England's Test squad to face Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.
Ansari fell to the turf clutching his hand and ushering on Surrey's medical staff after being struck on his bowling hand by a fierce drive while fielding at cover point against Lancashire at Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old spin-bowling all-rounder was forced to leave the field to receive further treatment on his thumb and was taken to hospital.
Surrey announced Ansari's injury will be reviewed over the next few days. Surrey face Gloucestershire in the Royal London One Day Cup final at Lord's on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 1.
England are scheduled to head to the United Arab Emirates at the end of the month.
Former England spinner and current Lancashire director of cricket Ashley Giles gave Sky Sports News HQ his initial reaction to Ansari's injury.
"It wasn't nice at all. It's one of those where you can see the reaction straightaway and when players start walking away you know it's going to be pretty bad," he said.
"It probably counts him out of this game but for Surrey, more importantly, he's such a big player for them in all forms of the game that it will be a big blow for them if he misses out on the final."
